Our honey is for those who desire a natural and genuine product which is obtained by using exclusive, traditional methods to breed Mellifera Ligustica Bees: simple sugars, enzymes, with a touch of pollen and bee wax.
The honey we extract and then select adheres to the rhythm of the seasonal flowering, which occurs in the Piacenza region of Emilia Romagna.
In the humid valley between the rivers Po, Trebbia, and Nure with the Alps to the North and the Ligurian Apennines to the South, Piacenza, is characterized by an abundant Spring Flowering of Robinia Pseudoacacia and later Linden. Moreover, during late Spring and Summer, there is further flowering of Dandelion, Chestnut, Honey Dew, Cherry, Ailanthus, and Sweet Clover.
The variety we obtain is the natural result of the micro-habitat of our apiaries and this influences in a unique way the aroma, taste, and consistency of our product.
Sweet Clover Honey is rare. The pollen from the sweet clover and ailanthus is of an equivalent amount in the honey, however, the taste is dominated by the ailanthus.
